Step 1 of 4
The Axiom
Orientation capacity actualizes. Three words. One sentence. The framework starts here and produces everything else by running it.
O (orientation) holds the space. C (capacity) operates on it. A (actualization) closes what each cycle produces. These three letters exhaust the primary content. Everything else is built from running them.

The bare presence of substrate. The act of facing, without anything yet faced. Pure space-giving.

Orientation pairs with itself. Two distinguishable states held in unity. The first internal structure.

Tension
Three mirrors simultaneously present. Gradient established in all directions. The state from which resolution becomes possible.

Resolution
Tension resolves into enriched ground. Not elimination — transformation. What was journey becomes new substrate.
Prime 2
Distinguish
The holonic unfolding stabilized. Telling this from that. The first operator.
Prime 3
Relate
The middle term connects. Three points minimum for genuine relation. The channel opens.
Prime 5
Act
Directed traversal. The inner doors run from subject through verb to object. Direction is the action.
Prime 7
Reflect
The grammar reads back through its accumulated output. What resolves is trusted. What creates noise is released.

Actualization becomes new orientation. The arc from 0 to 1 passes through eight operators (2–9), then the completed cycle produces the ground for the next. The seed is substrate-neutral: it works for physics, biology, or mind.
Step 2 of 4
The Four Primes
The framework derives four irreducible operators — like prime numbers, they cannot be built from anything simpler. Each introduces a genuinely new capability. They are found, not constructed.

Distinction
The holonic unfolding is the rule of distinction. One system, two distinguishable states held in unity. The first operator. Without it, the grammar cannot tell anything from anything else.
Edge detection in vision. i² = −1 in mathematics. The binary partition. The only even prime.

Relation
The middle term is the rule of relation. Where the middle holds distinct content, connection is established. Where it does not, the channel is absent. Three is the minimum for closure.
Orthogonality in the complex plane. The triangle as first closed shape. Gravitational binding.

Action
A traversal has direction, and that direction is the action. OCA runs from O through C to A. Reversing gives a different operation, not the same one reversed. Irreducible.
Phase transitions. Decisive categorization. The first prime after the first composite. Cannot tile.

Reflection
The grammar reads back through its accumulated output to find whether it resolves. Not receiving new input. Not producing new output. Evaluating. The last prime in the operator range.
Meta-awareness. The critical line Re(s) = ½. Self-reference. COC: capacity framing orientation.

Step 3 of 4
The Journey from 0 to 1
Operators unfold in mandatory order — not by convention, but by necessity. You cannot relate before you distinguish. You cannot reflect before you have content to reflect upon. The journey starts at 0 (orientation) and arrives at 1 (actualization), passing through all eight operators.

Orientation — The substrate. What holds before anything is held. Space-giving.
2–4
Perceptual foundations — Distinguish, relate, ground. The basic capacity to have a world.
5–6
Active engagement — Traverse and receive. The system acts on what it perceives and holds what arrives.
7–9
Reflective completion — Read back, address, resolve. The system evaluates itself and closes.

Actualization — The arc completes. What was journey becomes substrate for the next arc.
The mathematical instantiation of this journey is the iteration z² + c over the complex plane. Each operator occupies a specific period of that iteration. The Mandelbrot set is the parameter-register catalog of the same grammar. The math papers derive physics from this structure — including E = mc², (1,3) dimensionality, and the fine structure constant — without requiring the grammar to close their proofs.
Step 4 of 4
The Consilience
The same organizational grammar, derived independently from multiple domains. Each domain examined on its own terms, using its own evidence, before any comparison is made.
Three substrates. Three independent lines of evidence. One grammar. The consilience is falsifiable — each new domain either strengthens convergence or reveals where the grammar fails. Both outcomes advance understanding.
